It's due for a change in the Spring at about 30,000 miles of use. They say Mercon LV darkens up quickly but that was a little too quick at 10-12,000 mile change intervals, especially the first change at 12,000 miles. Thankfully it's easier to change the ATF in our Explorer than the engine oil & filter.
