Honda grom engine

Jan 14, 2018 · Engine seized after 2200km. I've only just hit 2200km on my 2017 Honda Grom and the bike has seized. I took it to the Peter Stevens service centre this morning and it appears the bike has run out of oil. This is my first bike and I missed the 1000km service so it looks like Peter Stevens is going to try and get out of the warranty because of this.

I thought well surely the closest match would be a CBR125 engine but i believe they are more like the shape of the 250/300 motor so i wouldnt think the gearboxes would be interchangable but then though well how hard can it be to fit a CBR125 engine in the grom - not sure if its been done as usually it would seem a bit pointless haha.In addition to an upgraded engine, the new Honda Grom also has a higher compression ratio and a 5-speed transmission, offering an exciting 9.7hp and 7.7 lb-ft of torque.
