Sadly, everything that Kreia says at the end of Kotor II is all we know about the future of Revan, the exile and the rest of our companions (novel and mmo can't really be taken seriously). Good part is that you can still answer all this questions on your own (headcanon ftw).KotOR II does not contradict anything set up in KotOR, it merely expands upon ideas and adds context in places where there was little to none. But Revan and The Old Republic either retcons or just straight up ignores things that were set up in KotOR II. Bioware being the developer of the first game in the series absolutely does not give them ...Lightside ending is officially canon, yet the KOTOR 2 outcome and progression ultimately comes down to the response the Exile chooses in the beginning of the game. This is the problem KoToR2 faces. You get some pretty interesting conversation choices as a DS character, but the story is more or less the same either way. The choice to be dark doesn't yield such uniqueness, it doesn't create an entire, non-canon ending with consequences for your actions.

At the end of the day Kreia is a sith trying to bend reality to her whims regardless of who gets hurt. Same story as every sith who's ever lived. But she has a unique take on it. My overall point here is don't read too deeply into KOTOR 2. The game is designed to puzzle you and make you ask questions. The fact that the ending seems to be a painful setup for a sequel (KOTOR 3) is painfully obvious, it's almost like all this was just some complicated rigmarole to get me to join Revan "beyond the Rim" and that was the real point of everything. And, even with a "canon" character, it's written to be open so it can be your character. 2.Manga, LN, and game go in the same general direction but events play out differently than each other. Revan's identity as a man or woman would be left ambigous, and how Kotor ended, would be a matter of debate among historians in the Empire and Republic, and people who still know of the name of Revan, would have their own opinion who Revan was, and what actually happened with him/her.The LS ending for KoTOR 1 is the right one mainly because in 2 they say Revan killed malak and went off somewhere. In other words, to our movie characters, it will be as historically significant as mythical legends., There is no canon ending in the game. It is upto the player to decide the ending. My personal canon ending is Lincoln leaving, and Vito running the city. Both of these choices make for the best connections to Mafia IV. Assuming it's set in 70s Las Vegas, we could see appearances or at least hear about both of them., Oh I 100% agree with this. The ending of that book was terrible. The story built up all this awesomeness, and then just threw it all away at the end. I feel like it taints Revan’s character. The Plagueis novel was fantastic though.
