Sadly, there's currently no real alternative to it if you want NPCs in your game. Not that I'm personally aware of, anyway. 4.I like the mod. And the best settings I found for me so far are, suvivors spawn rate at the lowest. 5% or 0% chance of spawning with guns (because there is always a guy with a shotgun making noise at 2 in the morning attracting zeds).
