It WAS a Sundown town based on the criteria listed. It was indeed all White for a while. In fact, for short period between 1949 and 1950 George H. W. Bush and Lil W lived in Compton. Compton was also very rural at this time. Horses and cattle were owned by a lot of people in Compton.
