Congratulations on your new ride. If the oil light is flashing, first thing check the oil. When was the last time it was changed and what weight was used. Have to check the bikes for any fault codes that might have been stored. If you bought the bike from a dealer, take it back and have them fix it.Vulcan 500. Starting problems. I press the starter button and it does not turn over at all. If I keep pressing the button several times it may start eventually. Once it turns over it starts easy enough.

I've also found it can be caused by the idle screw being set too low, causing the bike to run rich at idle. I turn on the ignition switch and the spedometer lights up as well as the turn signal lights. I press the starter button and it does not turn over at all. If I keep pressing the button several times it may start eventually. Once it turns over it starts easy enough.
